Do you have a UTV or Side by Side??

Want a massive improvement in ride comfort, control, safety and anti bottoming? Eibach dual rate spring kits are rolling in for the big 2, 2.5 and 3" shock absorbers. The kits come with new calculated Tender springs, Main springs and an adjustable spring crossover system so that YOU get to pick how much soft travel (comfort) and how much firm travel (anit-bottoming) you want. Carefully tuning the crossover point will also control how much chassis roll you permit in a corner, almost like an adjustable sway bar.

Reach out to us if you want to bring in your machine for a set up and dramatic improvement. Remember those shocks would love a service every two years or so depending on kilometers ridden and environment. Perhaps you purchased an entry level machine with very low quality shocks? We install tons of Elka shocks for these buggies too!

From up here at Temagami Shores Inn and Resort! Caption this photo…. No, actually don’t lol. All jokes aside, THAT is service. What a place to begin and end our week of 2025 MXZ and Expedition ELKA shock testing. We also beat on our new Precision EFI turbo Stage 1…. Faultless.

We figured a bunch of stuff out with new spring rates required on both platforms. New 2025 valving calibrations are awesome.

What a weekend! First of all, I have to thank a bunch of people for helping get two sleds built and on the snow that required a ton of effort to complete.

We had a water pump plastic impeller shaft strip on our 2022 renegade XRS with 2500 km on it. No good reason for the failure, but HB Cycle hand-delivered the parts in record time, and Andy McGill from Handy Andy Racing came and helped me get the motor reinstalled in 3 hours. Clark Wilson from Bergstrom Triple point Carbides got us screw in Gripper studs and bars for the Expedition build, and Sebastien, Sam and Kevin from Precision EFI out of Quebec walked me through the installation of a Stage 1 R kit on our new 2025 Expedition Le build. Elka Suspension has always worked hand in hand with us as we are testing valving and spring packages on our new 2025 MXZ Gen 5 trail platform and the all new Expedition shock package also being released in 2025. All I can say is WOW, the 2 2025s and I he 2022 Renegade are working SOOO good.

Oh and the trails OMG. If you are from Southern Ontario and think you need to go to Cochrane for snow… YOU DONT!! Just one hour north of North Bay, we checked into the spectacular Temagami Shores inn and resort. This place is off the charts perfect. Owned by snowmobilers, they have beautiful rooms and cabins, a restaurant on site and the Top A trail runs right in front of the lodge. We then headed to the Auld Reekie Lodge in Gowganda. The trails were the nicest I have ridden on in 10 years. From there we headed to the Hacienda B n B in North Sudbury and the trails weee even better (if possible). Just unbelievable.

All we can say is get out and ride, support those gas stations, restaurants and Inns that are supporting us snowmobilers! Enjoy this amazing snowy winter we are just in the middle of!!!

What a day at the Haliburton Forest. Andrew is practising suspension diagnostics and working on datalogging our Smart Shocks calibrations while evaluating a new Elka Stage 5 centre shock setting we are releasing for the 2025s.

Jen is running our new 2025 XRS 850 MXZ through its paces to determine ideal A arm angle and ride height on the new RAS X spindles. After lunch, we will run through our dual rate spring package to quantify ride heights and then move onto Elkas.

I am actively data logging the new Renegade, and MXZ Elka front and rear shock settings that we will be releases next week as well.

Huge thanks to Mark Wilkins and our Engineer Mikey F for spending the day on Friday at the Haliburton Forest testing our new G5/G4 Elka Trail shock calibrations. The Elka engineering team has been helping us with parts to fine tune the 36mm shocks for these snowmobile shocks. So excited to work with Elka Suspension to update their website with all this new product.

Summit shocks, Freeride, Renegade, MXz, and Expedition models to be updated and released within the month.

Last nights project. Factory race KYB pro 46 snowmobile race shocks. These are being serviced and revalved for a young lady entering the Transition class which helps racers graduate from the mini 200 cc sleds to the full size snowmobiles under strict performance regulations. These are young boys and girls racing from ages 8 to 12 years old. Super cool. We were proud to help out Joe and his daughter Jade. Good luck this year guys!!!
