These knobs permit you to mechanically add damping to the Smart Shox setting of the rear shock. The piggyback reservoir has compression adjust, but to alleviate confusion, KYB and BRP elected to remove the knob off the manual compression adjuster. This adjuster has 23 options, but BRP ships it wide open, counting on the Smart Shox ECU to make all the changes. Installing this knob allows you to firm up the rear only, basically trimming the balance of the sled in any of the three dash settings of Comfort, Sport, or Sport Plus. This is useful in loading the skis or helping keep the rear end firm, especially if you are running the overly soft OEM torsion springs, or have not updated the ECU with our Suspension Flash. Each knob comes with one screw.
